Where recipes are tested, cakes are decorated, new flavours are discovered and memories are made around the table.
Welcome to my Kitchen Notebook — the place where flour somehow ends up everywhere, recipes are put to the test, and every interesting supermarket find somehow makes its way into my trolley.
This isn’t a chef’s kitchen or a perfectly styled cookbook. It’s my real family kitchen, filled with celebration cakes, themed dinners, honest recipe reviews, new snacks, restaurant visits and the occasional experiment that doesn’t quite go to plan.
I don’t create most of the recipes featured here. I test recipes found in cookbooks, online and through family collections, then share exactly how they worked in an ordinary home kitchen.
If something is delicious, unusual, nostalgic or simply fun to try, chances are it will find its way into this notebook.

🥄 My Kitchen Philosophy
Simple food. Honest reviews. Cosy moments. Zero food snobbery.
Everything here comes back to one question:
Would I happily make it, buy it or eat it again?

🤎 Why I Started This Notebook
Food has always been about more than simply eating for me.
It’s birthday cakes made for people I love, recipes passed around families, themed dinners that turn an ordinary evening into something memorable and supermarket finds that are far more exciting than they probably should be.
Some recipes become permanent favourites. Some snacks completely surprise me. Some meals are worth travelling back for, and others make very funny stories afterwards.
This notebook is where I keep all of it — the successes, the opinions, the experiments and the memories made around food.
🥄 Currently in My Kitchen
Testing: A lamb tagine I haven’t made in years
Baking: Something involving far too much buttercream
Craving: Crisps I absolutely do not need
Planning: The next themed dinner night
☕ Pull Up a Chair
Whether you’re looking for a recipe worth trying, wondering whether a new supermarket release is worth the money or simply fancy a cosy scroll through cakes, meals and food memories, I’m so glad you’re here.
Food is never only about what’s on the plate. It’s the celebration around it, the people sharing it and the stories we remember afterwards.
Make yourself comfortable and see what takes your fancy.
